Lesson review

As part of today’s lesson we produced an advert. We were one of five groups and we had to select three cards which would give the basis of what our advert would be advertising, who the advert would be aimed towards and the kind of format it would be presented in. Our group had to produce an advert for an older businessman (30+) who would be looking through a magazine and would want to buy a digital camera.

We began to come up with ideas and put them onto a piece of paper. We also had to come up with a slogan for our product and a product name.

After we had completed our task, we had to present our ideas to the class. We took turns explaining

what we had done for the advertisement so that we all had a chance to speak.

Personally I think we could have improved on this task by coming up with more ideas for the product as we had a minimal amount, we could improve on our group communication skills and we could have planned what we needed to say about the product as there would be no hesitation when presenting the advert and it would have made presenting the product/advert more efficient. The advert was not designed as well as it could have been due to the lack of ideas we produced as a group. Finally, I felt that the advert was a little too complex for an advert designated for a magazine.
